Extreme self care for dentists
The beginning of every year is a great time for you, dear dentist, to sit down and start writing your resolutions for the new year – the goals you want to achieve with your dental office.
I am sure your business plan for 2012 is ready.
Today I want to touch on something different.
Did you plan your holiday trips with your family for the whole year 2012, even during Christmas?
Oh, I hear you saying – “I cannot afford to close my dental office as often as my children would love to go on vacation. My budget does not allow me to spend money on anything else other than my dental business….”
Well, here is what I would like to share with you:
You are a dentist and you enjoy serving your patients by providing high quality dental services to them.
What about you and your loved ones?
Do you serve yourself and your family members as well?
If yes, how do you do it?
What is the relation between serving your patients and serving yourself and the people you love expressed in percentage?
Is it 90% to 10%. Only 10% for yourself?
If this is true for you, I urge you to sit down and change it! Make the conscious decision to change your situation right away.
How and where do you start?
By planning your holidays with your family! Ideally 4 times a year; once every quarter.
It is not important where you go, how long you stay there, how much money you want and can spend.
It is important
That you go!
Imagine sitting with your family members and planning 4 holiday trips for the year 2012.
How does it feel for you?
Isn’t it a great place to be in?
What are the expressions on the faces of your spouse and your children?
Even if you are single, reward yourself in the same way!
This is how you take care of yourself as a dentist and as a human being.
Extreme self care – because you are worth it and you owe it to yourself and your loved ones!
